SA based record label and recording studio Beat Records is once again running their 'Peace Festival Song Writing Competition' for the 2006 YHA Peace Festival.

All unsigned bands and solo artists are eligible to enter the competition that will be judged by Ben Pattison (Beat Records), Tanya Schroeder (YHA), and a radio celebrity yet to be confirmed.

The winner will receive FREE STUDIO TIME to professionally record the winning song with Beat Records studio engineer Robbie Colvin and Producer Ben Pattison. Beat Records will consider providing additional industry support to promote the recording. The winning entry will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • The song must promote Peace,

  • It must be 'radio friendly' (eg. suitable for Triple J), and

  • The winner agrees to work closely with Beat Records to promote the song and their act.

Please forward entries on CD (with a brief bio) addressed to;

Beat Records 'Peace Comp'
GPO Box 716

or email MP3's to ben@beatrecords.com.au with 'Peace Comp' in the subject heading.

Entries close September 30. No late entries will be considered.  For more details please contact Ben Pattison on 0402 017 987.
